Career Mark 5

Career Mark 5 is the region's quality award for Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance.

It is used by secondary schools (mainstream, special and independent), pupil referral units, further education colleges and work-based learning providers to develop, evidence and accredit their provision.  Achievement of the award is a requirement of the county's IAG strategy and this is supported by:

• Connexions Learning Provider Advisers (LPAs); and
• Funding for on-site assessment.

The framework comprises of five standards with assessment indicators:

• Management;
• Curriculum;
• Information;
• Guidance; and
• Learner Outcomes.
