What is PAYP?Positive Activities for Young People (PAYP) is one of the projects of Connexions Positive Programmes aimed at young people who are at risk of social exclusion, community crime and at risk of negative outcomes provides a range of arts, sports, cultural and educational activities during school holidays and after school during term time. Who is it for?Young people aged between 12 and 16 years, who are at risk of negative outcomes such as anti-social behaviour, truancy and crime. The programme can be accessed by self-referral or through referral from agencies such as social services. Where is it available?PAYP runs in Corby, based at the Lodge Park Sports Centre. A summer project also runs across the county for Year 11 students, who are most at risk of dropping out of education or learning. What does it involve?Young people referred attend every school holiday until they complete the programme. 'Positive Futures' also runs after school, during term time.
