What is Connexions?Connexions Northamptonshire is a publicly funded support service that gives information, advice, guidance and support to young people aged 13-19. We also support young people with learning difficulties and disabilities up to the age of 25. We work closely with other organisations, including local services and agencies that support young people; schools, colleges, training providers, partner agencies, and employers. How can Connexions help?One-to-one help, support or adviceA choices adviser can talk through any issues a young person has. They can support them while they make decisions and help them plan for their future. Job or training opportunitiesJob and training opportunities are advertised on our website: www.jobs4you2.org.uk. We can also help with applications, writing CV and preparing for interviews. InformationWe have a wide range of books, leaflets, computer programs and access to the Internet to help them find information. How does my teenager get in touch with Connexions?Young people who are at school will be able to see their Connexions Choices Adviser there. Choices advisers have drop-in sessions in school or they may be able to make an appointment. They can also get in touch with Connexions by:
Connexions DirectConnexions Direct is a national free telephone helpline and web-based service for young people aged 13-19. It gives you quick and easy access to information and advice from 8.00am to 2.00am, seven days a week.
