Funded overseas volunteering opportunities for young people
Platform2 is a global volunteering scheme for 18 to 25 year olds who wouldn’t otherwise be able to visit a developing country and get involved with global issues of justice and policy.
It is a three year scheme funded by UK aid from the Department of International Development and run by Christian Aid and Bunac. There are places for 2,500 young people to experience development work in countries including Nepal, South Africa, Ghana, Peru, India and Kenya. Over 800 young people have already been on the programme which has given them opportunities to get involved in a wide range of projects.
The young volunteers need to have a UK passport and be resident in the UK in order to apply to the programme. To find out more, visit their website: www.myplatform2.com
