CRCI Work and Training

I wanna be a...

Not many young people will know exactly what they want to be and often your career ideas change as you go through education, further learning or training and then into work. Everyone continues to learn throughout their lives.

All young people make choices about what subjects and qualifications they want to study in Year 8 or 9. You have another set of choices to make in Year 11 and again once you are 18.

The education system is changing so that all young people will continue in education or training to age 17 from 2013 and to age 18 from 2015. There is also a wider choice of courses for 14-19 year olds than there has ever been. Your parents, teachers, school's careers co-ordinator and Connexions can help you with these choices.
