Foundation Learning

You may need a bit more time to build your confidence and gain qualifications. Your school, college or work based training organisation may offer you a Personalised Learning Programme that suits your needs and abilities.

Personalised Learning Programmes are a part of the Foundation Learning framework. Your personalised learning programme will enable you to move up to higher levels in your own time. You may move on to further study, do an apprenticeship or start a job with training.

Your school or Connexions Choices Adviser will help you choose courses that suit you.

You will learn:

• practical skills in English, maths and ICT at your level;
• the skills you need to organise yourself, to work with other people and to get better at what you do; and
• subjects that will help you with your career.
