School and College Qualifications after Year 11

Wherever you start it is possible to progress onto higher-level qualifications. It's also possible to move between different types of qualifications. You can also combine some of these qualifications e.g. you could do A and AS Levels with the newer A levels in applied subjects or other vocational qualifications. On the right you will see a list of articles about the kinds of qualifications available.

Some sixth forms and colleges also offer you the chance to improve your GCSE results. More information can be found on the qualifications website at
www.dfes.gov.uk/qualifications or www.qca.org.uk/14-19
