Breast Cancer

It's important to realise that not all breast lumps are dangerous and that a woman's breasts will change throughout her life and during eachmenstrual cycle. For example, some women experience tenderness, or a change in the way their breasts feel before and during their period. Although breast cancer is extremely rare amongst teenagers, regular examinations can help you to get know what is normal for you.

If you are aware of any changes in your breasts and you do find something unexpected, you can seek advice from your doctor. If you need more information on breast cancer, contact the Breast Cancer Care Helpline on 0808 800 6000 (Mon- Fri 9AM - 5pm, Sat 9AM - 2PM).
