SHOKK Youth Gym, Corby
The youth gym and fitness club, based at Lodge Park Sports Centre, is unique because it is specifically designed for under-18s.
All the equipment at SHOKK has been especially developed for young people to use. The interior is designed with youngsters in mind, with bold colours, chrome equipment and a funky sound system.
The gym includes revolve indoor bikes, treadmills, bikes, water rowers and a unique boxing bag. There is also a full range of resistance equipment, such as chest press, lat pull down and free weights.
Like an adult gym, classes are available with different levels for different capabilities. There is circuit training, combat, group revolve classes which involve bikes, and extreme classes, which are conducted on balancing boards and offer a whole body workout.
SHOKK also runs street dance classes and is hoping to introduce breakdancing classes in the near future.
Keystone Escape, Kettering
The Keystone Escape is a multi-purpose venue. It hosts regular music gigs but also provides a lot of different activities for youngsters.
The old building has a massive hall where visitors can play football. There is also a floodlit pitch so football can be played outside at any time of year.
Keystone regularly has a football trainer running sessions to teach youngsters proper ball skills. There is also a large garden for other fitness activities to take place.
Keystone runs a hip-hop workshop on a regular basis which attracts boys and girls from a mixture of age groups.

Adrenaline Alley, Corby
The Alley is an indoor centre where young people can take part in urban sports, such as BMX, skateboarding and inline skating.
There are numerous unique resi ramps to use, including Europe's first 70ft resi vert ramp. If you don't have your own bike or skateboard, don't worry, you can hire them there.
As well as the ramps, there are other activities to help youngsters improve their fitness, like dance workshops. The Alley runs regular breakdancing and hip-hop workshops which are very popular and an excellent way to keep fit.
Annual membership to The Alley is £20 - this entitles members to session reductions, such as three-and-a-half hours use for £3, and £7 for a nine-hour session on a weekend.
